He literally just says he’s literally just saying that snobbery exists ABBA band Agnetha Faltskog Bjorn Ulvaeus Benny Andersson signature shirt that snobbery exists. I’m glad you said it. He gives us a hint of an argument at the end but that’s it. The problem with this argument is that there are plenty of million-selling artists who don’t have nearly as bad a reputation among music snobs. Coldplay is bad in some objective sense, just that there’s more to their bad reputation than popularity. It’s good. It’s really good. It isn’t amazing, though, IMO. Same with Coldplay, some of their music is really good.

But because they have a wide appeal it’s sort of an ABBA band Agnetha Faltskog Bjorn Ulvaeus Benny Andersson signature shirt to overexposure, I think. Thankfully I’m well beyond the age when I give two shits what anybody thinks of my musical choices. Brian Eno or Bill Laswell or whatever. Life is way too short to listen to music you don’t like, or not listen to the music you like. Who as far as celebrities go, is a hell of a good dude doing a fuck ton of good in the world. The other three lads are just equally as good dudes that know how to play a killer live show, without a front man’s ego. I don’t think anyone can hate the music enough to justify how much hate U2 gets until you throw Bono’s ego in there.

Personally, I find the music far ABBA band Agnetha Faltskog Bjorn Ulvaeus Benny Andersson signature shirt and self-righteous than anything Bono has done in his life. I do like some of their singles as standalone, but over the course of an album, the utter lack of subtlety and self-awareness is just too much for me to stomach. Bono achieves a lot in life by riding his ego past the critics and haters, and that can be good in some contexts, but it’s terrible art. At least for me, I can’t stand that their music doesn’t go anywhere. The songs are practically all vamps, with barely even dynamic shifts the shake things up.
